The Opportunity:
We have the opportunity for 4 people interested in plant health, getting outdoors on farms assessing crop conditions. Start 11 November 2025 and finish end of January 2026.
You will visit client farms and conduct plant disease surveys on specific vegetable crops, collect samples for testing, to check whether they meet plant export requirements.
Based in Lincoln.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct plant disease surveys on specific crops and assist with plant export phytosanitary requirements, in accordance with MPI specifications.
- Communicate effectively with farmers
- Work individually or in teams of 2 where required
- Follow health & safety requirements
- Drive a work vehicle to commute to customer farms
- You will work under the supervision of experienced AsureQuality team members until you gain approval to carry out inspections independently.

- Fixed term contract for 3 months, min 20 hours pw and max 50 hours pw (Monday - Friday) expectation is 40 hrs a week, weather depending
About You:
The right fit people for these roles will have:
- Prior arable or horticulture / on-farm work experience
- Completed at least two agriculture tertiary papers
- A full driver's licence
- Can-do attitude and ability to work well in a team while under pressure
- High attention to detail, excellent customer service and great written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to work 40 hours per week. Hours can vary due to weather conditions.
