Are you looking to work on policy which has a tangible difference? Then this is the team for you!
We are looking for an experienced Senior Policy Advisor to join the Waste Sectors Policy team to work on synthetic refrigerants policy.
Our team is developing and implementing a regulated product stewardship scheme and undertaking policy development on wider system levers. This is a complex and interesting policy area.

Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) are a subset of refrigerants which have a very high global warming potential. They contribute significantly to global warming despite being emitted in relatively low quantities.
The Waste Sector Policy team is also responsible for:
- Delivering this Government's priorities and implementing the waste actions outlined in the second Emissions Reduction Plan
- Developing policy to reduce construction and demolition waste going to landfills.
Our team:
- Provides high quality policy advice and analysis to Ministers
- Leads the development of robust evidence based regulatory and non-regulatory policy solutions
