- Utilise your CA/Engineer’s Rep experience in this complex, fast moving role
- Join a great team with committed, long term work
- South Auckland/CBD hybrid
Our team in Tāmaki Makaurau have strong personal and project connections in the community and a real depth of experience across regional projects including commercial, education, health, housing, and defence to name a few. If you’re looking for a change and ready to tackle an iconic project working with a great client, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
The Role
This is a unique chance to take the reins as a Senior PM, in a role which has a heavy focus on contract administration.
To be successful you’ll bring extensive experience of contract administration in complex project environments, and your knowledge could be with either NZS3910 or FIDIC contracts.
The role offers a unique blend of focused project delivery process with the role of a strategic client advisor. Day-to-day you’ll be across all of the details to help drive this project forward, but you will also be providing our client with sound advice. This means you’ll be just as comfortable taking minutes and writing CI’s as you will be taking on the more complicated strategic challenges that come with a role like this, working in a dynamic live project setting with complex contract mechanisms and stakeholder management requirements.
You’ll enjoy working as part of a great team including a highly experienced Engineer to the Contract, with support when you need it, but also able to operate autonomously in this role where you are the eyes and ears on the ground.
Our vision is to be the best and most trusted project specialists in Aotearoa. Whether you’re a local looking for a fresh opportunity, or if you’re relocating to the region, we’d love to hear from you.
You Matter @ TBIG
You really do! We want you to enjoy your working day and the teams around you. We’ll put opportunities in your way, not roadblocks, and show we trust and support your instincts to lead projects.
You’ll get a competitive salary package but there’s more to a rewarding job than that. The big things include a longer-term chance at becoming one of our employee shareholders, our support of flexible working, and we will continue your professional journey with networking, industry memberships and training opportunities. We’ll help with some of the smaller things too – like a proper espresso coffee machine, lots of fun social events with your colleagues, and company health and well-being initiatives such as our Spring Challenge. Fancy learning basic Te Reo or upskilling around Te Tiriti o Waitangi? We give you access and time to grow personally as well as professionally.
Your experience needs to include:
- Extensive knowledge of contract administration processes and the ability to navigate between multiple stakeholders in a highly complex environment
- Detailed knowledge and the preparation of robust contract documents, correspondence and reporting. Demonstrable experience with NZS3910 or FIDIC contracts acting as Engineer’s Representative or Contract Administrator.
- 8+ years’ previous Project Management experience, some of which will have been in a Consultancy environment.
- Experience leading project teams in all stages, particularly during construction and closeout of large-scale construction project delivery across a diverse portfolio. This would ideally include base build, commercial development or industrial projects in the NZ market.
- The proven ability to challenge concepts, resolve problems and provide solutions.
- Strong understanding of relevant New Zealand building regulations and legislation and a strong focus on health and safety.
- End to end ownership, the project’s not done until you’re satisfied and proud of your client’s feedback.
