Hubbards is one of New Zealand’s most recognised food brands — and we’re proud to have it as part of the Walter & Wild. We’re looking for an experienced Senior Purchasing Officer to join the team and take ownership of purchasing activity across the Hubbards portfolio.
This is a hands-on role that sits at the heart of our supply chain. You’ll report to the
Purchasing Manager and work closely with Suppliers, our internal stakeholder (Planning and Production) teams to make sure we’ve got the right materials, at the right time, at the right price — without compromising on quality, service of manufacturing of product.
Your responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Managing end-to-end purchasing for raw materials, packaging, and services related to the Hubbards brand
- Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
- Collaborating closely with Planning and Production to align purchasing with forecast and demand
- Monitoring supplier performance and resolving any issues that may impact production timelines
- Ensuring data accuracy in ERP systems and maintaining clear procurement records
- Identifying and implementing process improvements across the purchasing function
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role, ideally within FMCG or manufacturing
- Excellent supplier management and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Confident working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus) and advanced Excel skills
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling competing priorities
- A proactive mindset and a collaborative, team-first approach
