Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
This Senior Specialist Standards & Quality role is part of our Standards and Quality team. The team’s purpose is to make sure that Transport Services is a learning business group that is continuously improving and consistently achieving high-quality outcomes.
As a Senior Specialist, you’ll be a subject matter expert in quality management, assurance, continuous improvement, and standards development. You’ll play a key role in guiding and influencing internal practices, developing training materials, and integrating best practices into our programmes. You will be responsible for –
- Leading the implementation and stewardship of quality and standards management functions
- Promote uptake of new practices across the organisation
- Develop and deliver guidance and training materials
- Support integration of best practices into the Standards & Quality programme

We are seeking to appoint at a salary between $109,408 - $145,876 commensurate to skills and experience.

To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Experience in assurance, quality, continuous improvement, standards development, or related fields.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to high-quality service.
- Knowledge of infrastructure delivery and transport systems in NZ.
- You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public service.
