As we continue this growth journey, we have an exciting opportunity for a Service Delivery Manager to join our AA Battery Service team covering the wider Auckland region (mainly Central and West).
This is a permanent full time role working standard Monday to Friday business hours, although you may need to have some flexibility as our contractors work 7 days.
What You'll Be Doing | Mō te Tūranga
The Service Delivery Manager at AA Battery Service plays a key role in managing the performance and development of our national network of Service Delivery Contractors (SDCs). This position is responsible for ensuring that all contractors meet or exceed service delivery standards and contractual obligations, while maintaining a strong focus on operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and compliance. The role involves daily performance monitoring, reporting, and analysis, as well as planning and executing improvement initiatives. It also includes overseeing contractor onboarding, training, audits, and coaching to build capability and consistency across the network. Working closely with the National Operations Manager and internal stakeholders, the Service Delivery Manager helps ensure seamless delivery of roadside battery services to AA members, contributing directly to the company’s service quality and business outcomes.
About You | Mōu
\You’re an experienced leader with a background in operational management and/or contractor oversight. You’re results-driven, organised, and passionate about developing people and improving service delivery.
We’re looking for:
- Proven experience in team leadership, ideally in a field service or contractor-based environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to coach, train, and motivate performance across multiple teams
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Understanding of contractual compliance and operational metrics
- A commitment to excellent customer service
Strong negotiation and influencing skills are required, as is proficiency with Microsoft Office and general technology platforms. While not essential, an automotive qualification or relevant industry experience is highly desirable. A current full driver’s licence is also required for this role.
