About the role
As a Shift Supervisor, you will lead plant operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, and team performance. You’ll play a key role in driving efficiency, supporting staff, and upholding our environmental and operational standards.
- Oversee daily plant operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and product quality
- Lead and support your team, fostering a respectful and collaborative culture
- Deliver hands-on training for machinery use and forklift safety
- Monitor equipment, manage material/job changes, and report maintenance issues
- Ensure compliance with HSEQ policies and promote continuous improvement
- Support sustainability initiatives aligned with WM Porohita - Circular Economy goals
- Maintain accurate production records and oversee correct packaging and labelling
- Uphold company values in all tasks and perform other duties as required
The timing for this role will be 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 40 hours per week.
Qualifications
About you:
- Moderate experience in a supervisory or team leader role
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
- Mechanical aptitude and experience in a production environment
- Competence in operating heavy machinery and forklifts
- Knowledge of HSEQ legislation and systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital communication tools
- Current forklift and driver’s licences
