About the Role:
Shinemax Cleaning Limited is seeking 2 x reliable and customer-focused Shop Assistants to join our team. You will play a key role in supporting daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and assisting with staff and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determining customer needs and advising on product selection, pricing, warranties, delivery, and product use/care
- Selling food, drinks, snacks, grocery items, clothing, and household goods
- Operating the till, accepting various payment methods, and issuing sales invoices
- Assisting with stock management, including receiving goods and participating in stocktakes
- Stacking shelves, restocking fridges, and ensuring displays are neat and tidy
- Wrapping, bagging, or packing items for customers
- Assisting with food service tasks (e.g. warming pre-packed food, maintaining food safety)
- Keeping the store clean and presentable, including food prep and display areas
What We’re Looking For:
- · Previous retail experience for about 6 months or NCEA level 2
- · Strong communication and people skills
- · Ability to multitask and take initiative
- · A team player with a positive attitude
- · Willingness to work flexible hours if needed
