STOREROOM ASSISTANT
We are looking for a strong and physically fit Storeroom Assistant to join our team at Papatoetoe New World.
As a Storeman, your responsibility will be to provide positive results for both our customers and our business.
Shift Pattern:
Ideally, we will start the successful candidate as soon as possible, however we can discuss this in the interview.
What your day will consist of:
- Unloading trucks
- Receiving and receipting inwards goods
- Maintaining a tidy and organized storeroom and inwards goods area
- Communicating with the Dry Goods Manager and the team and ensuring stock required is accessible for them.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A forklift and reach truck license.
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in Inwards goods.
- Excellent communication skills
- Physically fit and Healthy as the job is very hands on
- Computer and SAP literate
- Health and Food Safety knowledge
- Flexible to work various shifts between 5.00am to 3.00pm
This will enable us to fully evaluate an applicant's skills and suitability for the position if your work experience/skills are not the required standard. The basic duties of the position will be covered during this trial shift, with you working closely aside an individual who will be both training and evaluating you.
Candidates with storeroom experience will only be required to submit a reference (previous employer)
