Te āheinga: The opportunity
Are you passionate about student engagement and creating inclusive environments? Unitec, a business division of Te Pūkenga - New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology, is seeking a dynamic Student Voice Coordinator to support our vibrant Student Council and Representative Body.
About the Role
As the Student Voice Coordinator, you'll play a pivotal role in empowering student voice across Unitec. You'll provide high-level coordination and administrative support, manage communications, and help deliver impactful student-led projects and initiatives.
This is a fixed-term opportunity where you'll work closely with the Student Council and over 100 Student Representatives, supporting their development and ensuring smooth operations of council activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, and forums for student leaders
- Provide diary and communication support to the Student President
- Manage documentation related to HR and payroll for student reps
- Support budgeting, procurement, and financial tracking
- Assist with onboarding and induction processes
- Contribute to student-led projects and initiatives
- Uphold Unitec's values and commitment to Te Noho Kotahitanga
He kōrero mōu: About you
You're an organised and proactive coordinator with strong admin skills and experience managing multiple priorities. You communicate clearly, work well with diverse teams, and are confident using Microsoft Office tools. You value inclusion and equity, and bring a respectful, culturally aware approach to your work. A commitment to Kaupapa Māori and a willingness to learn Te Reo Māori and Tikanga Māori are essential.
