Te Tūranga - The Role:
Our IT Service Desk team is working on a list of high impact work that we need some help to deliver <="" span="">and we want a talented technology-whizz to join our team this summer!
In this role you will:
- Assist with day-to-day Service Desk operations including logging tickets, responding to user queries, and escalating issues as needed.
- Support laptop and mobile device upgrades including setup, configuration, and user handover.
- Maintain accurate asset records for IT hardware and software including inventory updates and equipment lifecycle tracking.
- Help monitor and uphold service quality standards across all office locations by following established procedures and providing timely support.
- Develop an understanding of how IT supports local government services and contribute to enabling staff to deliver positive outcomes for our communities.
You’ll be joining the Service Desk Team. We are a vibrant team dedicated to providing excellent technical support and ensuring seamless IT operations across the organisation. Joining this team offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies like Windows 11 and Generative AI and the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with systems such as Azure AD, Cisco Webex integrated with Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

- You will be a passionate individual who is interested in technology and its ability to improve working lives.
- Ideally you will also possess a strong understanding of Microsoft Office/365 products.
- Be studying or plan to commence studying towards Information Technology Diploma Level 5 or Bachelors in Computer Science related qualification.
- Be a quick learner who is patient and understanding of those who are not as tech-savy.
- Hold a current driver's licence.
This position will be located in Tauranga.
