We are looking for a System Engineering Lead to join our R&D team developing advanced video products for security and safety applications. You'll be creating a new range of products to develop and drive forward-thinking, innovative, quality software and hardware solutions that will reimagine and enhance the way we interact with our homes and businesses.

SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for overseeing technical developments on Resideo’s next generation video products. The System Engineering Lead will work closely with internal teams – including leads from the hardware, software and firmware - to provide overall management and oversight of the technical challenges and issues throughout the product development cycle. The System Engineering Lead will be partnered with a Project Manager and Product Manager and will provide the technical leadership to make the program a success. The System Engineering Lead is not expected to be a subject matter expert in all areas, but they are expected to understand the technical challenges at a high level and be very good at interfacing with the various technical teams to ensure every challenge has a path to success. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing products and have a good working knowledge of major engineering disciplines (electrical, mechanical, software, firmware), a deep knowledge in at least one discipline and possesses great leadership and communications skills.
JOB DUTIES:
- Working with Product Management to understand the product market requirements.
- Working with the technical teams to put together product requirements in response to the marketing document.
- Overall lead for all technical aspects of product development from concept to mass production.
- Working with project management and product management as the key core team product leaders.
- Determining technical development gate exit criteria/readiness.
- Reviews, evaluates, and clearly summarizes product technical status, related trade-offs, risks and recommendations.
- Sharing best practices for development, particularly cross functional technical dependencies.
- Assisting in facilitating strong communication and contribute to building a high-performance team. Upholding and enhancing the Teknique brand and reputation.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- 5+ years of management/technical leadership experience 5+ years of hands-on industry experience – ideally developing hardware/software products
