Te Whiwhinga mahi - The Opportunity - Technical Delivery Manager - Rail Infrastructure
The scope of this programme is defined at a strategic level by the Rail Programme Business Case. This broadly consists of the works required to fully utilise the passenger capacity of the City Rail Link and provide greater operational resilience and manage conflicting demands of passenger operations.
From an AT perspective this will consist of further rolling stock procurements, station upgrades, level crossing removals, additional depots and stabling.
Key tasks will include:
- Provide Technical Leadership to rail infrastructure and rolling stock delivery projects, delivered by AT or external partners.
- Provide technical leadership to the scoping of new projects across the rail infrastructure portfolio, building upon functional business case requirements into a set of technical requirements that can delivered.
- Provide SME support to internal and external partners in the development of project requirements and engineering standards and identify and pursue departures from standards where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively to provide technical leadership for the commissioning and acceptance of the passenger rolling stock fleet, including customer acceptance inspections for commissioned units.
- Provide SME sign off of design outputs and built infrastructure, effectively commissioning new delivered infrastructure into service.
Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
- Relevant industry-recognised tertiary qualification in civil, mechanical, electrical or systems engineering.
- Desirable will be a Professional accreditation or chartership with a relevant engineering institution e.g. IPENZ or international equivalent.
- 20 years' experience in the design and delivery of rail infrastructure (or rolling stock) project delivery or operations / maintenance.
- Desirable will be Experience of the application of BS EN 50126 on railway projects and experience of design and specification of rolling stock, including interface with wayside systems, and station / building systems.
