Job Description
We are currently seeking Technicians to join our Microbiology team based at our Lynfield Auckland laboratory for 4-6 months on fixed term contracts for our busy Dairy Season. We will be starting successful candidates from August through to October. These roles are to assist in sample preparation and pre-work as well as Media Preparation. You will gain invaluable experience for your technical career in a commercial Food Testing laboratory. We will need you to be available for 40 hours per week, working at least 1 weekend day.
Your key duties will involve:
- Completing sample testing within the given turn-around-time (TAT)
- Strictly adhere to all laboratory and regulatory quality assurance procedures
- Ensuring all relevant records are always kept up to date
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work area
Flexibility to work additional days or overtime would be ideal as our laboratory operates 7 days a week.
About you:
- Be studying or have attained a BSc, with a focus on Microbiology or Food Science.
- Previous work experience in a fast paced environment will also be beneficial to your success in getting this role.
- Team player that can remain focused while doing repetitive tasks and cope with regularly changing priorities.
Excellent attention to detail coupled with fantastic time management skills will see you do well in the AsureQuality environment.

Qualifications
BSc Food Science or Microbiology preferred.
