Van Driver/Storeperson

Tauranga (Greerton and Mount Maunganui)

Permanent, Part-time (20 hours per week)

Monday – Thursday shifts

About the role – Kōrero mō te tūranga

In this role you will:

  • Collect all donated goods and deliver them to shops, adhering to the guidelines on quality.
  • Provide great customer service.
  • Assist with maintenance of stock levels this includes liaising with the Shop Manager or Delivery Scheduler, for the timely delivery of stock.
  • Complete electrical test and tagging on electrical donated goods (training provided)
  • Check and maintain the vehicle you are driving to ensure compliance and road worthiness.
  • Keep New Zealand Red Cross informed of any issues promptly.
  • Follow New Zealand Red Cross heath safety and wellbeing guidelines.
  • Assist with work in the shops as required.

Please note this role covers two of our Red Cross Shops, Greerton and Mount Maunganui.

To be successful you will have:

  • A full, clean New Zealand driver's license - Class 2 is preferred
  • Experience working with volunteers.
  • Driving experience in a similar or relatable role
  • An understanding of safe handling, storage of goods and be physically fit
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to mix and work with a wide range of people
  • Self-motivation and a positive, friendly approach
