We require temporary staff to assist with the 2025 NCEA Visual Arts Level 1-3 and Scholarship verification and marking processes.
Visual Arts Panel Assistants:
- are responsible for careful and respectful handling of candidate portfolios
- work co-operatively and constructively in teams
- consistently engage in all work processes to ensure uninterrupted work flows for the marking panels
- respond promptly to the Floor Manager's instructions, carrying out tasks in an efficient manner
- contribute to the unpacking, processing, arranging on the floor and packing out of candidate work
- systematically and accurately read and record detailed information (may include some data entry)
- attend to various other duties, as required by the Floor Manager
- treat all information relating to the verification and marking process as confidential.
Preference will be given to applicants who:
- are prepared to work long hours and some weekends
- are able to perform manual work, including some heavy lifting
Dates
29 October to 11 December 2025 (including weekends).
You must be available for the full duration of marking, apart from agreed days off (a minimum of two days per week).
Payment
Panel Assistants: $26.70 per hour.
No penal rates apply.
Location
The location is Badminton Hall, Naenae, Lower Hutt.
