CARTERS Queenstown is seeking a customer-focused Yardperson to join their busy timber yard team. Your primary goal is to provide exceptional service to our building trade customers. In this active and physical role your ability to operate a forklift safely and effectively will be crucial.
Your duties will be to:
- Quickly and efficiently pick, assemble, and load customer orders.
- Recommend suitable products, tailored to customer preferences.
- Load and unload delivery vans and trucks.
- Sustain inventory levels and ensure seamless stock replenishment.
- Maintain cleanliness and uphold safety standards through general branch housekeeping.
About you
You will be the perfect fit for this role if you are committed to delivering exceptional customer service and have the following skills, qualities, and certifications.
- Forklift F Endorsed Licence with OSH Certificate is desirable
- Class 1 NZ Driver licence Essential
- Someone who values teamwork and approaches tasks with a positive mindset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Entry-level computer skills
- Physically fit
- Building industry knowledge is beneficial.
