The role/Te mahi

We are looking for an exceptional and highly organised administrator to provide administrative support to the School of Social Sciences (Humanities Division) within the University. Come support and enable world class research and student learning.

Key tasks include:
  • Providing administration support to academic and professional staff.
  • Responding to student or visitor enquiries.
  • Coordinating local administration processes such as recruitment, induction, and teaching administration support.
  • Collating and distributing student exam results.
  • Maintaining timetable information.
  • Planning and logistics for travel.
  • Meeting support.
  • Financial tasks including purchase card reconciliation, reimbursements, purchasing and invoicing.

Successful candidates will also have:

Divisional Services and Administration is a team of highly skilled professionals responsible for delivering outstanding student and staff experiences through high quality operational management and administrative support services. We are a strong supportive whakawhanaukataka (community), proud of the work we do as the largest workforce in the university, spanning every corner of the motu.

This is a fixed term, full time (37.5 hours) position to 18 December 2026, located in Dunedin.

The appointment range for this role is $61,360 to $65,879. Top of the range is $71,150.

The Administrator function includes Kaiwhakahaere Tari positions, which support the implementation of our Māori Strategic Framework. The salary range for this role is $67,566 to $77,570.
