We have a permanent and a six month, fixed-term position open with a remuneration range between $77,413 and $91,075 including KiwiSaver depending on skills and experience.

The opportunity

Working closely with all parts of Wellington Water involved in the asset lifecycle, you will be primarily responsible for the ingestion, management and analysis to provide ongoing improvement of our most important data set - asset data. Managing drawings and related information we hold about our assets and making sure this is accessible to those who need it in their roles, is also a key part of the role.

As part of the wider Data Quality function, you will also support:

  • the ingestion and management of various other types of data we manage
  • analysis of asset data to remediate historic asset and implement recommendations for the wider organisation to utilise and engage with ongoing data improvement activities through the establishment of standards, policies, guidance, and processes
  • six month fixed-term opportunity looking for specific skills in AutoCAD with industry experience in process and operational drawing types.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following:

  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant field including, asset management, GIS, data and information management, engineering or draughting
  • Two plus years' experience in data and information management (preferably infrastructure orientated), including process and data standards development
  • Experience in one or more of the following: enterprise asset management systems, geospatial platforms, data models, databases, large tabular datasets, or draughting software
  • Experience working within an agile environment and/or in a cross-functional team environment
  • Experience working with one or more of the following, or similar, platforms is highly desirable; Asset Management Information systems, AutoCAD, ESRI/ArcGIS suite of products

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, and be eager to continuously learn new platforms, tools and skills.
