A little bit about the role:
The position’s primary purpose is to complete a wide range of accounting and reporting tasks for the Kathmandu Brand and provide a challenging and rewarding environment for growth and development.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Assisting with month end accounting processes across the Kathmandu brand
- Assisting and preparing month end inventory reconciliations
- Reviewing monthly stock costing movements
- Preparing month end fixed asset accounting and reconciliations
- Preparing other balance sheet reconciliations as needed
- Monthly rental payments are made accurately and on time
- Rent related accounting is performed and accounts are reconciled
- Preparing GST returns
- Working alongside the Finance Manager and Financial Accountant to ensure all HY and YE Audit and Reporting deadlines are met, and no audit adjustments are raised
- Helping with any other project work and Finance team tasks as required
- Tertiary Accounting qualification
- Chartered Accountant or progress towards qualification also preferred
- 1-2+ years accounting experience
- Proficient in excel
- High level of attention to detail with high standard of numerical and written accuracy
- Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks accordingly
- Ability to be able to identify issues and work through problems
- High standards of integrity and confidentiality
- Strong communication skills and willingness to support teams outside of Finance
