About the opportunity
We now have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store manager to lead, coach and motivate our brand new Dunedin team and manage the day-to-day operations of the store. This will be our first store in stunning Dunedin which we are looking to open in Mid-August.
Part of our supportive on-boarding process for the new Assistant Store Manager will involve travelling to our Auckland Head Office for initial training followed by on-going support & training in situ from the Retail Manager in Dunedin.
Even though our stores are spread across the country, we like to keep our Store Managers connected with each other through weekly dial-ins and annual trips to our Support Office in Auckland to catch up with colleagues and be the first to see our new seasonal ranges.
About you
Just as there is no ‘i’ in team, there is no ‘i' in Wallace Cotton either! A collaborative leadership style is important to us.
We know you will love our customers just as much as we do and with your engaging communication skills, positive outlook and natural ability to sell, you will quickly create a fabulous rapport with others.
You will pride yourself on your organisational skills, attention to detail and customer focus.
An interest in the homeware industry is definitely a plus!
