Start date: early September 2025

This vacancy relates to frontline roles within Aviation Security Group at the Civil Aviation Authority.

New Zealand is experiencing a surge in travel, making this the perfect time to become an Aviation Security Officer (ASO). We have multiple permanent part-time (minimum of 5 hours per shift) positions available for our upcoming training intakes in early September 2025.

As an ASO, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our airports. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Career progression and long service leave and awards.
  • Discounts on medical insurance with Southern Cross.
  • Vision and orthotic assistance.

  • Up to 4% KiwiSaver match.
  • Full uniform provided.
  • 20 days of annual leave, along with shift workers and AvSec holiday leave.

To join our team, you need to meet the following criteria:

  • Be medically fit and willing to undergo a medical assessment.
  • Be available for an in-person assessment centre and interview in early-mid July.
