We’re on the lookout for a hard-working legend to join our northland sealing crew as a bitumen sprayer operator. Whether you’re a seasoned class 5 bitumen sprayer operator, chip truck driver, chip sealing operator – if you’ve got grit, skill, and a solid work ethic, we want you on our crew. Our team is positive, hardworking and just loves spraying bitumen! If you put the hard work in, we will add value to you, ongoing training and career growth.
What you’ll be doing (aside from becoming part of a great team):
Safely operating a bitumen sprayer and class 5 truck, you will know your stuff behind the wheel.
Operating and maintaining chip seal machinery; smooth roads do not just build themselves.
Pitching in with the team to get the job done, safely and efficiently.
Daily pre-start checks and following health and safety like a pro, safety first, always.
What we need from you:
A clean, full class 5 license and the know how to drive our big trucks.
Experience in chip sealing and road construction machinery; this is not your first rodeo.
A keen eye for detail and pride in your work; cowboy hat optional.
A good attitude, strong team spirit, and a willingness to muck in.
A positive attitude and good understanding of health and safety, we want everyone to go home to their whānau safely.
The fine print (but worth the read):
You’ll need to be flexible, this role can mean 12-hour days, night shifts, and travel/stay-aways around the North Island. Weekly hours range from 40 to 70 depending on the workload, so be ready to earn those weekend yarns.
