The opportunity - Te tūranga
In this new role as Business Development Consultant, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging and converting new business opportunities across TVNZ's offerings. Working closely with the Head of Growth Marketing B2B and the Head of Direct & Australia, this role will identify new growth segments such as Fintech to target and translate leads (generated by themselves and/or by growth marketing) into new sales opportunities.
In this role, you will focus on
- Achieving and exceeding new business revenue and share targets
- Detailed and accurate forecasting
- Identify tools and resources that support lead conversion and increase sales productivity
- Development of promotional sales Initiatives and packages
- Early identification of Integration opportunities
This is a 12-month fixed term contract

We are looking for a highly motivated and resilient individual, curious to test and learn with new approaches, digitally savvy and comfortable with approaching cold and warm prospects.
To be successful in this role, we will need the following
- Proven track record of new business development ideally in the digital media industry
- Existing Direct industry relationships an advantage
- Strong demonstrable commercial / industry knowledge
- Current digital media industry understanding
- Highly developed selling and negotiations skills
- Communication and Interpersonal skills
- Strong Commercial acumen in both media, advertising and general enterprise
- Strategically focused with a keen interest in emerging advertising platforms and industry technological advances
- Excellent analytical and communication skills (written and oral)
