Job Description
As a Caregiver at our Bell Block, New Plymouth village, you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.
Typical duties include:
- Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
- Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
- Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
- Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc
This is a permanent full-time role, working a roster of: Five days on, two days off and shift times are 3.00pm to 11.00pm.
Qualifications
You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.
You’ll bring with you:
- Experience in aged care or a similar role
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
- Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts
- Ability to work a roster pattern of 5 days on and 2 days off
