About the role
We're looking for casual kitchen staff to join our awesome teams supporting with meal prep, service, cooking and any other duties within our modern Village and Care Home kitchens. These roles are ideal if you want some work over the holiday period or want some extra money without the permanent hours. This could be great for someone located or easily accessible to the area by car or public transport.
We have the casual kitchen opportunities:
- Kitchen Hand
- Café/Barista Assistant
- Chef
- Cook
You can pick up shifts in either of these roles based on your experience and qualifications but also your enthusiasm and attitude.
Your duties and responsibilities will differ depending on what role you move into (you can be involved in more than one) however, some things will be similar across the board:
- Providing a safe environment to the residents
- People facing with great communication skills
- Ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained
- Ensuring all heath guidelines are followed
- Treating residents with dignity and respect
About you
We are looking for team members with the right attitude, excellent communication skills and who can work as part of a team to provide support in maintaining our village to a high standard. Some things that will support your application include:
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends
- Commercial kitchen and or café experience is preferred
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Food industry qualification
- Excellent food hygiene practices and personal presentation
