ABOUT THE ROLE
Ballance is looking for a casual Soil Tester based in Gisborne. This role will focus on delivering exceptional customer service including field based soil testing working alongside our farmers on their farms.
You will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with Nutrient Specialists on soil testing schedules
- Undertake hand augering and soil sample testing
- Consulting with farmers to schedule in appropriate testing days/times
- Preparation of soil samples for delivery to testing laboratories
- Preparation of any relevant documentation or reports.
ABOUT YOU
You won't need previous soil testing experience, as full training will be provided. We are looking for:
- You are fit, enjoy the outdoors and are able to confidently navigate the odd challenging terrain
- You have your own reliable vehicle
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in the agricultural sector would be an advantage
- While the role is casual, some flexibility to be able to increase hours during our busier seasons is desirable
