Job description
Reporting to the Retail Manager. Your day-to-day duties could include:
- working quickly so that customers in the queue don't have to wait too long
- scanning items for customers
- weighing and pricing fruit, vegetables and other products
- packing and wrapping purchases
- processing store loyalty cards, coupons and vouchers
- taking payments and making sure the till balances at the end of the day
- spending time away from the till, filling shelves, checking stock or working on
- a customer service desk
- You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient distribution of stock from the
- store room,
- high racking or picking faces to the retail shelves in the areas of the store you
- are assigned to.
- Handling cash, till.
- Put pricing tags on item, up to date with special deals within the store
- Maintain work station – keep it tidy and clean
The successful applicant will display good communication skills, high presentation
standards, honesty and an excellent work ethic. Must be reliable and physically fit.
Knowledge of South East Asian/Indian food products is preferred.
