About the Role

Counties Manukau District is a large tertiary teaching hospital. The hospital has a wide Casemix with approximately 10,000+ discharges a month.

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Clinical Coder to join our supportive and fun team on a casual, on-call basis (Monday–Friday). You'll need to be flexible and available at short notice. This is a fantastic opportunity to expand your experience in a hospital with a wide case mix and complex coding environment.

We can offer you a supportive and fun team environment where professional development is encouraged. The Clinical Coding service currently operates under the National Clinical Coding Framework Progression Criteria.

About You

You’re a team player with a positive outlook and strong work ethic. You will also have;

  • HIMAA Certificate or ACE qualification
  • Current ICD-10-AM 12th Edition coding experience
  • Knowledge of Casemix and diagnosis-related groupers
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Candidates who have passed the ACE Coding Course are also welcomed to apply!
