About the Role
The Community Mental Health and Addictions Services is seeking a registered health professional with leadership experience to be part of our team delivering high quality responsive services for the urban Community Mental Health and Addiction Service (CMHAS).
This is a Full-Time position with Part-Time applicants considered. The successful applicant will support the Clinical Manager to encourage an environment where staff are engaged and performing at their potential to provide quality evidence-based outcomes for the people who access the Community Mental Health and Addiction Services.
To be successful in this position you will make effective timely decisions within a collaborative model and show an ability to lead others. You will be familiar with implementing quality improvement and change that is based on best available evidence.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The Community Mental Health and Addiction Services at Whanganui Hospital in New Zealand provide comprehensive support for adults experiencing severe mental health conditions and substance use issues.
Our multidisciplinary team provides holistic, culturally responsive care across the Whanganui region, including the Rangitīkei, Taihape, and Waimarino. You'll work alongside experienced clinicians to deliver assessment, treatment, and recovery-focused support in both clinical and community settings. About you
Requirements for the position are:
- A Registered health practitioner with a minimum of three years' experience in a mental health and addiction setting
- Demonstration of high levels of clinical knowledge in mental health and addiction problems
- Demonstration of leadership skills and experience
- A current NZ annual practicing certificate
- A current driver's license
- Proven computer literacy
- Experience in case load management and clinical supervision
- Experience in implementing service improvement/quality initiatives
- Police clearance
