Clinical Educator, Allied Health - Specialist Mental Health and Addiction Service (SMHAS)

About Us
Health NZ Waitemata is the largest mental health provider in NZ with services for children, adult and older adult, Maori and Pacific as well as operating regional services of forensic psychiatry and addictions. There are also strong partnerships with a number of Non-Government Organisations (NGO) and Primary Health Organisations (PHO) in the region.
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Clinical Educator to work across our Adult, Maori, Pacific and Older Adult Mental Health Services. This role is one of a group of experienced educators and coaches in our services who together to deliver a whole programme of education. This role will provide an opportunity for you to apply your skills in working collaboratively with others to plan, develop, deliver and coordinate learning opportunities, as well as evaluating and administering the education programme. This role also involves some workforce development planning, working with clinical leaders to identify where our workforce capability and competence can be strengthened through education initiatives. You will report to the Operations Manager, Takanga a Fohe Pacific mental health and addictions services.
About You
You will have a background in clinical practice and recent clinical experience within mental health and/or addictions services with excellent relationship and facilitation skills. You will be motivated and ready to apply your skills and enthusiasm for supporting others to grow and develop, and to support our services to deliver quality health outcomes.

- A tertiary qualification in a relevant health field
- Recent mental health clinical experience (within the last 6 months)
- More than five years health sector experience
- A current APC and registration
- Experience and/or a qualification in adult learning
- Recent experience in a medium to large health organisation
- Experience working with cultural and diverse teams
