- Child Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) - Adolescent Team
The Adolescent Mental Health Team in Tauranga is searching for a Clinical Psychologist who has experience and skills working with Rangatahi between the ages of 13 -18 years, and their whānau.
You will be part of our multi-disciplinary team, working in collaboration with other psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, psychiatrists and the community to support Rangatahi and their whānau. Your role will involve psychological assessment, formulation, and therapeutic intervention for children in the service.
Our service has a clear pathway for psychology intervention, consisting of assessment, diagnosis, and therapy. We work with a range of difficulties, including trauma, mental health and neurodevelopmental disorders. There are hospital wide forums for psychologists and psychiatrists to network and share professional development opportunities.
Adolescent Mental Health Services Tauranga is committed to implementing high standard models of therapeutic treatment, as well as the necessary training and ongoing supervision that such pathways require.

About You
To be successful in this role you will:
- Be a New Zealand Registered Clinical Psychologist.
- Have postgraduate training in clinical psychology and other relevant postgraduate training.
- Have experience in the psychological assessment of children/adolescent with a range of mental health presentations alongside experiences of trauma, attachment difficulties, and neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Have experience in complex formulation and treatment planning.
- Demonstrate competence in trauma-informed practice.
- Demonstrate competence in working with neurodivergence.
- Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi in your practice.
