As a Commercial Analyst within the Commercial Enablement team, you will support the trading teams by providing commercial insights, structured analysis, and performance reporting that drive better trading outcomes. You will play a key role in supporting promotional effectiveness, pricing initiatives, and margin improvement programs, enabling the business to make commercially sound decisions.
The Key Responsibilities include:
- Deliver timely and accurate trading, pricing, and promotional reporting to support commercial decisions.
- Analyse trading performance to identify key trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Support pricing reviews, promotional reset programs, and supplier funding initiatives through robust commercial analysis.
- Develop clear, business-focused insights that enable trading teams to optimise sales and margin outcomes.
- Maintain and improve reporting frameworks, ensuring outputs are commercially relevant and action-oriented.
- Collaborate closely with Category Managers, Commercial Managers, and Finance Partners to align insights with trading priorities.
- Uphold high standards of commercial integrity and reporting accuracy.

You’ll bring strong commercial acumen, proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel and SQL, and the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights. Alos, you’ll possess excellent communication skills, a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, and meticulous attention to detail.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in a quantitative field (Commerce/Business, Accounting, Computer Science, Maths, Statistics)
- 1–3 years' experience in commercial analysis, trading support, or finance business partnering, preferably in Retail or FMCG
- Highly proficient in SQL and Excel
- Understanding of trading performance metrics, margin drivers, and promotional effectiveness
- Strong communication, influencing, and collaboration skills with high attention to detail
