Support the project managers with a mix of administrative and site-based tasks relating to parks assets. Key responsibilities include:
Administration:
- Setting up purchase orders and new suppliers.
- Filing documents
- Assisting with updates by flagging outdated information from a checklist.
- Helping refine the inventory management process for containers at Pages Road.
- Coordinating early engagement meetings with schools, community groups, and libraries for play space renewals.
Site Investigation:
- Reviewing and recording the condition of play spaces and managing the renewal list.
- Investigating proposed renewals, including taking photos and marking up aerial maps for scoping.
Purpose of the Project
To provide administrative and field support to the Community Parks Development project managers, ensuring accurate asset records, effective coordination of engagement activities, and well-documented site investigations. The role will help streamline project delivery by maintaining up-to-date information, assisting with procurement and inventory processes, and gathering on-site data to inform planning and renewal of parks assets.

- Accurate and up-to-date asset information -records, renewal lists, and project documentation are current, well-organised, and easily accessible for the project managers.
- Streamlined project coordination - Procurement, supplier setup, meeting scheduling, and engagement activities are managed efficiently, supporting timely delivery of parks projects.
- Well-documented site investigations - Play space and hard surface condition assessments are completed with clear photos, maps, and notes, enabling informed decision-making for renewals.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Attention to detail for accurate data entry, document management, and record updates.
- basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to learn and navigate systems
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for reporting and liaising with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and follow a checklist or process.
- Basic understanding of mapping tools (e.g., Google Earth, GIS) for aerial mark-ups.
- Willingness to work both in the office and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Full drivers licence
Experience - preferred but not essential
- Prior administrative or office support experience.
- Experience with data entry, filing systems, or document management.
- Exposure to community engagement or customer service.
- Familiarity with parks, landscaping, or asset management environments.
- Experience taking and cataloguing photographs for records
Desired qualification
- Currently studying or recently completed a qualification in parks management, environmental management, landscape architecture, geography, project management, or a related field.
