As the Contract Manager - Waste Management and Minimisation Syndicate, you'll lead the management and ongoing development of our syndicated waste management panel agreement that supports multiple government agencies. This is a rare opportunity to drive large-scale environmental outcomes while applying best practice in contract and supplier relationship management.

In this high-impact role, you'll be the central point of contact for contracted suppliers, participating agencies, industry partners, and internal stakeholders, ensuring waste services are delivered efficiently, sustainably, and in alignment with national and departmental priorities.

If you're passionate about sustainability, relationship management, and making a real difference, this role will offer you a unique platform to lead change. You'll be working with contracts that are both high-value and high-risk, with the potential to influence how waste is managed across the entire public sector. This is more than just a contract management role, it's a chance to shape the future of waste minimisation.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in contract management, preferably managing strategic contracts.
  • A strong understanding of the secondary procurement processes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of and experience working with public sector requirements.
  • Proven experience in establishing, building, and maintaining closely collaborative relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of waste management and minimisation practices, trends, and legislation.

The successful applicant will also need the ability and willingness to travel, sometimes outside of normal working hours.

The midpoint of the salary range is $141,651 and the full range (85%-120%) is $120,404 - $169,982. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
