About the role - Mō te tūranga

As the Customer Claims Team Leader, you’ll lead a dedicated team focused on resolving claims efficiently, analysing trends, and driving continuous improvement. This role blends leadership, investigation, and strategic insight to deliver great outcomes for our customers and business.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Lead and coach the claims team to deliver high-quality, timely outcomes.
  • Investigate and process claims using Salesforce and OnTime, ensuring SLA compliance.
  • Analyse claim trends and provide insights to drive operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to recover costs and manage salvage.
  • Produce regular reporting using Power BI and other tools to inform decision-making.

You’re a confident leader with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for continuous improvement. You know how to guide a team, analyse data, and turn insights into action. You’re comfortable navigating systems, managing competing priorities, and building strong relationships across the business.

Additionally, you will need:

  • 3 years+ experience leading teams in claims, administration, or a similar operational environment.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with confidence using tools like Power BI.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on results, compliance, and customer outcomes.
  • The ability to coach, develop, and inspire a high-performing team.
