About the role
Surrounded by a supportive team and with ongoing training, you are set up to succeed from the start! If you want to expand your customer service experience into a new environment with a strong logistics edge, then this could be the opportunity for you.
Acting as a key point of contact, our Customer Services Officers provide a high level of service to our customers, 6 days a week, currently based at our City Depot in Woolston.
Key responsibilities include:
- Quick turnaround on a very busy shared customer services email inbox processing customer requests and queries
- First point of telephone contact for customers calling LPC
- Administering and removing holds on containers
- Data entry
- Coordination of transport moves to and from the Lyttelton Port Container Terminal
- Account management duties
About you
You will be someone with strong communication skills, an innate ability to build rapport, and a hunger for problem solving. You may already have some experience in a customer service role, or you might have just finished your tertiary studies and are keen to get into the workforce. You will enjoy working as part of a team, and love to talk to people.
The ideal candidate could also possess the following skills:
- Able to work effectively when the pressure is on and use their initiative to take appropriate action to resolve any issues
- Have a high level of attention to detail and be a competent computer user
- Be available to work a rotating shift roster currently compromising of one Saturday per full rotation.
- The ability and willingness to model LPC's values and behaviour's including supporting a culture that promotes safety, engagement, and a continuous improvement
