Location: Bee Healthy Regional Dental Service, Wellington team working in the Newtown and Miramar Hub Clinics.

Contract: Permanent, full time position (1.0 FTE, Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.30pm)

About the Role

We are seeking an Oral Health/Dental Therapist who is positive, adaptable and committed to providing safe high quality care. New graduate Oral Health Therapists are welcome to apply. This role is based at our Newtown and Miramar hub clinics and includes working on the mobile dental van at schools in the community.

About the Team/Service Location

The Bee Healthy Regional Dental Service provides dental services for children in the greater Wellington region from school and community based dental hub clinics. You will be well supported by our clinical leadership team that includes a Clinical Director, Community Dentists and Advanced Therapists. Our service has Dental Therapy Assistants assisting our therapists on a 1:1 basis.

About you

Required:

  • Registered with Dental Council NZ , with a current APC, or if newly qualified eligible to apply
  • Enjoy working with children
  • Have a warm, compassionate and empathetic approach
  • Work collaboratively and contribute positively as valued member of the team
  • Have a commitment to cultural safety, equity and supporting positive patient outcomes
  • Full drivers licence

Beneficial:

  • It - s a bonus if you can converse in te reo Māori, Pacific Island languages, New Zealand Sign Language, and/or a language spoken by former refugees residing in our region.
  • It is also ideal if you have personal experience living with disability, or of supporting others who live with disability.
