About the role
- Join a dynamic small nursing team, and broader clinical team who are committed to improving the care of patients with diabetes disease
- Facets of this role include direct patient assessment, clinical consultations, formal and informal teaching, participating in quality programs and leadership
- Provide specialist nursing care and expertise both in direct care delivery and supporting other staff in the management of Endocrinology patients/consumer groups/area of practice
- Collaborate across the organisation within the specialty acting in the roles of practitioner, educator, consultant, researcher, leader/change agent and care coordinator/case manager

- Acquire expert knowledge base, complex decision-making skills and clinical competencies to prepare for extended practice within a speciality area of practice/population group

About you
- Strong team focus who is able to work autonomously and has a visionary outlook
- Flexibility is an important component of the role, alongside the ability to self-monitor and maintain therapeutic boundaries
- Extensive post registration experience, preferably in endocrinology
- There is an expectation that post graduate qualifications with a minimum of diploma will have been undertaken or a willingness to develop their advanced practice to achieve this
Salary range
This role belongs to the expired NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between step one ($116,040 p.a) and step three ($127,674 p.a pro-rata) of the Designated Senior Nurse scale grade two.
