The purpose of this role is to:
- Lead and work key shifts weekly, ensuring adherence to staff cost metrics and executing team briefings and end of shift reports accurately
- Support the General manager in ensuring exceptional guest experiences through efficient front of house operations and an exceptional guest experience.
- Assist in overseeing day-to-day FOH activities, maintaining standards, and fostering team development.

Essential Job Functions:
Managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and delivering exceptional customer service. Here are some common responsibilities:
- Operational Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the FOH, including opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure smooth service delivery and address any issues or customer complaints promptly.
- Staff Supervision and Training:
- Supervise and support the FOH team, ensuring they adhere to company policies and deliver high-quality service.
- Assist with training of new employees on bar procedures, responsible service of alcohol (RSA), and customer service standards.
- Customer Service:
- Foster a customer-focused environment by greeting customers, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive experience for guests.
- Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Financial Management:
- Manage cash handling procedures, including reconciling cash registers and preparing daily banking deposits.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders for stock, and manage stock control to minimize wastage and maximize profitability.
- Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and workplace safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the bar area.
- Licensing and Legal Compliance:
- Ensure the bar operates within the guidelines of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act (2012) and other relevant legislation.
- Maintain the bar's liquor license and ensure all staff are trained and compliant with RSA requirements.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and motivate the FOH team to achieve performance targets and deliver exceptional service.
- Provide feedback, and support professional development opportunities for team members.
- Event Coordination:
- Assist with the coordinate of events and functions held at the bar, including bookings, staffing, and logistics.
- Ensure events run smoothly and meet customer expectations.
- Administrative Duties:
- Complete administrative tasks such as cash up and maintain accurate records of sales and expenses.
- Prepare reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics for management review via the End of Shift report at the end of every day.
- Promotions and Marketing:
- Assist with the delivery of promotional activities to drive sales and increase foot traffic.
- Collaborate with management on marketing initiatives, including social media campaigns and customer loyalty programs.
- Emergency Response and Security:
- Manage security and emergency procedures, including handling incidents and ensuring the safety of customers and staff.
- Liaise with external security providers and emergency services as required.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments and the General Manager to achieve business objectives and maintain a cohesive team environment.

Above and Beyond Expectations:
- Contribute ideas for new training modules and menu development.
- Identify potential revenue opportunities and assist in their implementation.
- Support the achievement of business Annual Plan goals.
- Assist in additional responsibilities delegated by the General Manager.
