About the Role

Looking for your next big opportunity? We’ve got an exciting Electrical Fitter role just for you! In this position, you’ll provide an electrical trade’s service to Omexom, covering the full range of electrical and substations services expected of a qualified electrical fitter.

The successful candidates will work on key responsibilities like:

  • Performing high-voltage maintenance and construction work to client specifications.
  • Identifying unscheduled work to ensure that client equipment is fully maintained.
  • Responding to emergency fault breakdown work within planned response times.
  • Installing substation and other high-voltage equipment, as per job instructions and specifications, meeting current regulations and standards.
  • Ensuring optimal reliability and performance of the client’s plant and equipment by completing projects and maintenance work on time and to requirement.

Qualifications and Skills

  • NZQA or equivalent recognised qualification as an electrician or electrical fitter
  • Hands-on experience in substations and other high-voltage electrical work to industry standards.
  • A thorough knowledge of current regulatory and industry requirements pertaining to the carrying out of all prescribed electrical work.
