Key Responsibilities
· Install and wire electronic security systems including alarm panels, CCTV cameras, access control units and intercoms according to layout plans and specifications.
· Assemble and configure control panels, interface boards, and low-voltage systems on-site.
· Perform diagnostic testing, calibration and troubleshooting of faulty equipment using electronic testing instruments.
· Record, monitor and analyse test data, and prepare job reports and compliance documentation.
· Evaluate system performance and adjust or repair components to ensure optimal functionality.
· Interpret wiring diagrams, technical schematics, and installation manuals to guide system integration.
· Assist with estimating material requirements and preparing equipment lists.
· Carry out general electrical wiring and rewiring tasks on residential new builds and apartment refurbishments.
· Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations and company protocols.
Skills & Requirements
· At least 3 years of relevant work experience OR a NZQF Level 6 Diploma or higher in electronic engineering or related field.
· Or practical experience working with low-voltage or building security systems.
· Ability to interpret technical documents and operate standard diagnostic tools.
· Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
· Physically fit, reliable, and a team player with a positive 'can-do' attitude.
· Valid New Zealand work visa or residency preferred.
