Position Title: Fencer
Salary Range: $25.00–$32.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Minimum Guaranteed Hours of Work: 30–50 hours per week
Location: Waikato, New Zealand
Start Date: As soon as possible
Manamana Holding Limited is an established horticulture and land development business based in the Waikato. We are currently seeking reliable and hardworking Fencers to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining and developing our farms and orchards, ensuring high-quality fencing structures that support safe and effective agricultural operations.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- At least one year of relevant experience in fencing, farm maintenance, or general outdoor labouring.
- Practical knowledge of fencing tools, equipment, and materials.
- Ability to carry out heavy lifting, digging, and other physically demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in all weather conditions.
- A full driver’s licence (preferred).
Key Responsibilities:
- Construct, repair, and maintain a variety of fencing types (post and wire, electric, permanent and temporary fencing).
- Operate and maintain hand and power tools, including post rammers, wire strainers, and chainsaws.
- Measure, cut, and assemble fencing materials to specifications.
- Carry out ground preparation such as digging post holes and clearing fence lines.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and company policies.
- Assist with general farm or orchard maintenance tasks when required.
- Report to supervisors and provide updates on project progress.
