Fibre Ambassador

Tuatahi First Fibre
New Zealand

About the Role

At Tuatahi we believe that connection is everything—from the way we link communities across Aotearoa, to the way we treat our people.

We’re looking for a friendly and approachable communicator to join our team as a Fibre Ambassador in Whanganui. This role is about working directly with customers—visiting homes, attending community events, and supporting people to connect (or stay connected) to our fibre broadband network.

You’ll provide helpful advice, answer questions, and support customers through the process. You don’t need to be a tech expert—what matters most is your ability to listen, build trust, and make others feel supported.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Visit households and community events to provide information about fibre broadband.
  • Support people through the connection and consent process in a respectful and clear way.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure they feel informed and confident in their decisions.
  • Record feedback and insights to help improve our services.
  • Represent Tuatahi’s values in every interaction—with empathy and integrity.
  • Assist with outreach and engagement for customer campaigns.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience: Customer service, support, or community engagement. If you’ve worked with people, we want to hear from you.
  • Qualifications: NCEA Level 2 or equivalent, and a Full NZ Class 1 Driver’s Licence.
  • Skills & Qualities:
    • You enjoy working with a wide range of people.
    • You’re a clear and thoughtful communicator.
    • You’re organised and able to follow through on tasks.
    • You value inclusivity, respect, and teamwork.
    • You can work independently and are comfortable using basic digital tools.

If you don’t meet all the requirements, that’s okay—we encourage you to apply anyway. We’re committed to helping our people grow.

Why Tuatahi is the Place for You:

At Tuatahi, we're more than just pioneers in cutting-edge technology—we're committed to taking care of our people. We believe that exceptional benefits not only enhance work-life balance but also empower our employees to thrive, both professionally and personally. Here’s how we make a real difference:

  • Comprehensive Medical and Life Insurance: Your health and security are our priority.
  • Utilities Rebate: We help ease the burden of home costs, covering essential utilities like power and fibre.
  • $500 Refer-a-Friend Bonus: Share your experience with friends, and we'll reward you for bringing talent into our team.
  • Volunteer Day: One paid day each year to give back to your community by volunteering for a registered charity.
  • Wellbeing Leave: Enjoy a wellbeing day every six months to recharge, handle life admin, or simply do something that makes you happy.
  • Parental Leave Support: We support your growing family with parental leave benefits, including topping up your salary to 100%.

At Tuatahi, we're not just building a future of innovation— we’re creating a workplace where you can thrive.

About Us:

As a leader in Aotearoa’s ultrafast broadband revolution, Tuatahi is powering the future of connectivity.
