MediTrain is a Private Training Establishment (PTE) registered with New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) with over 30-years experience. We have been providing quality first aid courses and empowering people with the skills and confidence to make a real difference in their communities since 1991.
We are currently looking for someone who is passionate to provide life-changing skills to our community. This position requires suitable experience to teach First Aid, therefore previous experience in nursing, emergency care or teaching is an advantage.

Work Details
- Working hours are full days (typically 8am to 5:30pm including set-up and pack-down).
- Working days include some weekend days

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver first aid courses using MediTrain’s proven programs.
- Maintain and manage training resources and equipment.
- Engage students with your dynamic personality and passion for teaching.
- Communicate effectively with MediTrain office staff and ensure timely submission of student assessments.
The Successful Applicant Will Be/Have:
- Work experience in pre-hospital emergency care, nursing or ambulance or education, training, or similar.
- Work experience for at least 3 years.
- Dynamic and friendly personality and confidence to communicate/connect with all students.
- Great presentation skills to deliver engaging, informative and interactive classes.
- The ability to work unsupervised, with our support.
- Physical capability to handle the equipment required for the course.
- Enthusiasm, motivation and dedication to share First Aid skills and knowledge to make our community safer.
The position may especially suit an applicant who is semi-retired from either ambulance or nursing and wanting to balance work and lifestyle.
