We are seeking dynamic individuals to join our Forest and Fire Operations Officer (FFOO) team.

As a Forest and Fire Operations Officer, you'll be at the forefront of preserving Victoria's state forests, national parks and protected public land. With your expertise, you'll implement vital operational tasks and execute fire prevention activities. You'll learn from seasoned professionals whilst contributing to the conservation of our natural environment.

Applicants must hold a current manual Drivers Licence (conditions A, I & V not acceptable for employment)

Specialist/Technical Expertise:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Victorian Aboriginal cultures and societies and ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal people is desired.
  • Experience working in bushfire response or forest operations is desirable.
  • Understanding of application of safe work practices including awareness of regulations and codes of practice and safety documentation systems is desirable.

This position is ongoing, available in the regional location of Macalister District (Dargo, Heyfield, Yarram or Briagolong workcentres), Victoria.

You'll have the chance to explore and protect stunning landscapes whilst earning a competitive salary ranging from $57,822 to $65,221 per annum, plus superannuation.
