We have an exciting opportunity for a Geotechnical Technician to join our growing team in Queenstown; to work on geotechnical investigations and reporting across a wide variety of projects. About the role
As a Geotechnical technician with us you will be out in the field conducting testing, sampling, logging results for reporting, and conducting analysis. Scheduling projects and communicating with clients, as well as undertaking site observation/inspections of on-site works during construction.
You’ll be working with our dynamic team delivering high quality geotechnical engineering to a range of clients nationally.

About you
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Geotechnical Field Technician who thrives in a collaborative team environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality work. Ideally, you’ll bring:
- BEng Civil specialising in Geotechnical or BSc majoring in Geology or Earth Sciences, or equivalent qualification
- 2 years’+ experience as a geotechnical field technician within a consultancy firm
- A solid understanding of relevant NZ building codes, regulations, and industry software
- Strong attention to detail, with great planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- A proactive mindset and a drive to find smart, practical solutions for clients
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working
