Mō te tūranga | About the Role
Working independently, you will be responsible for completing routine maintenance and maintaining our grounds to a high standard.
This is a full-time role from 8:30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

Grounds & Maintenance Person PD
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Demonstrate a high level of commitment to health & safety management
- Carry out general maintenance and handyman tasks as required
- Gardening (weeding), weed whacking, spraying and mowing lawns
- Laying bark, shingle, dirt and other landscaping products
- Watering
- Maintain, clean filters, take samples of water and sewerage systems
- Keep equipment charged and serviced
- Checking/swapping 9 kg gas bottles and turning over stored fuel
- Rubbish removal and some furniture removal/moves
- Use of chainsaw, water blaster, wielder, chippo and other various heavy machinery and power tools
- Meet and direct external contractors when required
- Purchase maintenance materials from suppliers as required
- Assist with groups or volunteers and supervise their work
The diverse nature of this role requires that other duties may be undertaken from time-to-time at the direction of the Maintenance Team Lead.
Mō koe | About You
Previous maintenance experience and grounds work is essential with the ability to operate a manual vehicle with trailer, ride on mower, hand mover, chainsaw and general power tools would be advantageous. You will have the ability to lift and maneuver furniture and objects in a safe manner following the Health and Safety guidelines. You will hit the ground running and be able to turn your hand to a variety of maintenance tasks.
