About the role
Ward 4A is a 24 bed General Surgery ward, with an additional six bed High Dependency Unit attached. Ward 4A specializes in upper and lower GI and colorectal surgery, and provides for both elective and acute surgical admissions.
This role will see you primarily focusing your attention to the overall needs of the service. This is a varied role within a clinical environment, and you will need to be able to take instruction and direction from the Nurses on the ward, whilst having a helpful and team focused approach to making a difference to the environment, and care provided to the patients under our care.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be involved in:
- supporting our Nurses and other members of the Healthcare team
- patient supervision and/or movement
- patient cares, as required
- stock reconciliation
- ward maintenance
- patient watch, with one-on-one care as required.

Salary range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the expired NZNO CEA and the salary will be in accordance with the HCA Pay Scale, between $60,100 and $70,358 p.a pro-rata dependent on relevant experience.
