These positions are all based main centres around NZ.
Supporting the engineering industry constructing large metal structure from bridges, pressure vessels, oil and gas equipment and building construction steel work.
Most steel would be over 3mm thick.
Most jobs will be to order from a plan / blueprint / technical drawings.
Most companies could have multiple teams on sites or you could be clients sites.

Essential Skills required:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in heavy engineering industry
• Be able to read plans, blueprints or technical drawings
• Have good basic maths for calculating dimensions
• Understanding of welding symbols
• Experience with MIG/TIG /Stick
• Experience using oxy – acetylene and plasma cutting tools
• Experience working with thick steel and alloy materials
• Must be able to work on total job from start to finished product
• Have safe handling skills of all power tools and factory machinery
• Experience operating CNC machines, hydraulic presses, plate rollers. Gantry cranes.
• Understanding of machinery and be able determine faults
• Ability to work fast and under pressure
• Excellent English and be able to understand instructions
• Health and Safety conscious
• Physically fit
• Positive attitude, strong attention to detail and team orientated mindset

MUST HAVE CURRENT PASSPORT AND POLICE SCREENING
